Multi-tenant PWA for clinic patient lists and bulk SMS outreach.
Catalyst Care SMS is a mobile-first Progressive Web App for Sri Lankan healthcare clinics to manage patients and run bulk SMS campaigns through Text.lk. A super-admin provisions clinics; each clinic gets one login scoped to its own patients, templates, campaigns, and SMS credentials. Clinics use installable standalone mode with bottom navigation for day-to-day outreach work.
Clinics needed reliable patient outreach without sharing one SMS account or mixing patient data across practices. Large recipient lists risked serverless timeouts on a single long send, and failed numbers had to be retryable without re-blasting everyone. Credentials and sender IDs also had to stay per-clinic and encrypted, not in shared env vars.
We built a Next.js App Router SaaS with row-level multi-tenancy on Neon PostgreSQL via Drizzle, NextAuth JWT roles for super-admin vs clinic, and AES-256-GCM storage of per-tenant Text.lk tokens. Bulk sends are client-orchestrated in chunks of 100 with live progress, campaign status, and a failed-recipients table for targeted retry. Unconfigured clinics run in simulation mode until Text.lk is set in the admin portal.
Clinics can filter patients (district, religion, type), compose from templates, and send campaigns with progress and history retry for failed recipients only. Super-admins can create or suspend clinics, reset passwords, and see unified campaign history across tenants. Exact production usage metrics are not documented in this repo.
